Elque is a particularly infamous character based off the demon that appeared in the adult visual novel Kizuato (痕 - Scar) converted by Japanese author Yuki, using sprites of Zato-1's shadow beast Eddie as it appeared in the original Guilty Gear to represent him.
He is an extremely ferocious demon whose preferred modus operandi utilizes extremely fast claw swipes. His extreme speed to strength ratio (along with high chip damage) coupled with automatic regenerative abilities (which get bolstered further as Elque takes damage) made Elque one of the most overpowered MUGEN characters created in the early 2000s. He was so overpowered, many people made edits of the character specifically to tone down his insane strength to more tamable levels.
Merciless. Merciless is the term that would best describe Elque.
Elque has unbelievable agility, and his attacks are just the same if not faster. All of his moves recover near-instantaneously so as to only accelerate the carnage. He has a deceptively long reach, easily capable of slashing prey from afar. Blocking his assault is akin to merely delaying the inevitable; Elque's sharp claws deal huge amounts of chip damage which easily rack up after multiple swipes. He even has a reversal he can use to put an end to any futile attempts to fight back.
Elque is also quite durable; his health regenerates automatically, and slowly charges power stocks over time. If he's feeling impatient, he can instantly convert some of his life into a single power stock, or do the opposite via one of his special moves. Elque's regenerative abilities accelerate the more injured he is, meaning he won't fall easily in a fight. But his regenerative powers hit their peak when "Nightfall!" comes into play.
Should Elque's health fall below 30%, "Nightfall!" will activate, and the stage will become pitch black, spare for a bright full moon in the background. The moon's presence puts his energy regeneration into full throttle, maximizing his power stock supply in mere seconds. Elque also camouflages into the darkness, making simply hitting him a daunting challenge.
His AI is infamous for how savage it is, favoring repeated usage of Devil's Claw, defeating most of his prey from sheer chip damage alone.
