Most of Blockhead's moves don't cause knockdown and are OTG, giving him an increased combo potential that leaves him with far less room for error at the same time. The select moves that do cause knockdown are mostly soft, which his opponents can easily tech out of and possibly spoil that combo Blockhead was planning to dish out.
Not helping Blockhead's case is the fact that a majority of his specials and supers have some serious startup lag which if improperly timed, could result in him becoming wide open to severe punishment, or much worse; wasting a power stock.
Fortunately for Blockhead, he has an effective reversal that can give him much needed space by pushing would-be attackers away, and is even able to break out of a few super moves. For Blockhead to really deal some big damage, he needs to keep his opponents under constant pressure and get his attacks in as fast as possible. If properly managed, Blockhead can become an agile menace to be reckoned with.
